Early Life & Passion for Nature

I was born and raised in rural Gambia, where my love for birds and nature began.

Growing up surrounded by the sounds of the bush and the beauty of wildlife inspired me to learn more about the incredible creatures that share our land. 

Training and Experience 

I studied birds, nature, and the rich flora and fauna of The Gambia at the Department of Parks and Wildlife at Abuko Nature Reserve, where I also volunteered as a tour guide.

That experience taught me so much — not just about wildlife, but also about sharing that passion with others. 

Membership and Conservation Work 

Since 2010, I’ve been a proud member of the Gambia Bird Watchers Association, taking part in its daily activities and conservation efforts.

As a bird guide, I also play my part in protecting local habitats and ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same natural beauty that inspired me.
